Analysing Mastheads

Pop magazine - This is a good idea as although the masthead is quite small it is really artistic and unusual and I think that looks really good. The only problem is is that it contrasts so heavily with th style on the rest of the masthead - it looks futuristic while the rest looks handwritten and flowing. Although this does look good it wouldn't really fit the overall look of my own magazine, however on this magazine it looks more at home.

Super Super magazine - I really like the look of this, I like the fact that its compact in the corner although it is two words, and usually a title like that would be spread across the top of the page. It does work well having the words layered, especially as its the same word twice. I do think this could work well with my magazine title too though. The only reason why this wouldn't work with my magazine is the actual font it is too structured, not feminine and arty enough.

Love magazine - This masthead is very different from the other two, this takes up the whole page but I like it because it's only four letters long which allows it to be very spread out. I like the fact that the main photograph is layered over it too - this suggests that people should know the magazine enough to not have to rely on reading the title of it. This could work for my magazine, however as my title is two words I think it would look too common for my liking.
